Fire Alarm In Upland

6/27/09 At 12:13 Companies 57(Upland) 52(Brookhaven) and 45(Parkside) were dispatched to 851 Upland Ave @ Sam and Sam meats for a fire alarm. 57-1 responded with a staffing of 5 and was advised that the alarm was tripped. Crews reset the alarm and went available.  

 Building Fire In Upland

6/26/09 At 22:44 Companies 57(Upland) 52(Brookhaven) 45(Parkside) 47(Chester Township) and 63(Green Ridge) were dispatched to 410 10th Street for a building fire reported to be electrical. 57-9(D. Smith) arrived to find nothing showing as 57-1 with a staffing of 6 hit the street. Crews found no smoke or fire and made themselves available.

Shed Fire In The First Due

6/24/09 At 10:21Am Companies 57(Upland) 52(Brookhaven) 45(Parkside) 47(Chester Township) and 63(Green Ridge) were dispatched to number 2 3rd street for a building fire reported to be a shed in the rear. Delcora water was in the rear at the time with a water truck and was notified by a kid that the shed was on fire. Delcora pulled the booster line off their truck and was able to knock the bulk of fire. 57-9(D.Smith) and 57-1 responded with a staffing of 5. Crews arrived and hit hot spots and did overhaul. 57-2 responded as well. Crews were on location for about a hour before returning.      

Fathers Day Parade!

6/21/09 Today Company 57(Upland) attended the Chester Township Fathers Day Parade. Companies celebrated Fathers Day along with bands and dancers. We would like to say Happy Fathers Day to all the Fathers out there. 

Fire Alarm In Upland

6/19/09 At 14:06 Companies 57(Upland) 52(Brookhaven) and 45(Parkside) were dispatched to 900 Main Street @ Upland Woods Apartments for a fire alarm. 57-2 responded and arrived to find nothing showing. Crews investigated and found a tripped alarm. the assignment was recalled and company 57 went off radio at 14:15.   

57 Goes To 65

6/17/09 At 19:38 Companies 65(Garden City) 51(South Media) 45(Parkside) 57(Upland) 63(Green Ridge) and 14(Swarthmore) were dispatched to 1000 Putnam Blvd @ Standish House Apts. for a automatic fire alarm. 57-1 responded and arrived to stage on Putnam while crews from 65 investigated the alarm. The alarm was found tripped and 65-9 recalled all companies.   

Assist The EMS With A Fan

6/12/09 At 11:56Am Company 57(Upland) was dispatched to 1100 Hill Street to assist the EMS with a Fan. 57-1 responded with a staffing of 4 and was notified that the caller was spraying bug spray inside the house and the house needs to be ventilated. Crews were in service for about a half hour before returning to the station.   

Vehicle Fire In Upland

6/8/09 At 2:00Am Company 57(Upland) was dispatched to 300 West Mowry Street for a vehicle fire. Engine 82(City of Chester) was dispatched first and advised that the call was in Upland. Fire Board then dispatched our company. Tac 57 responded and assisted with hitting hot spots when they arrived and assisted Chester Investigators.  Company 57 was available at 3:00Am.

Flashover Class

6/6/09 This Saturday around 8:00Am Company 57(Upland) along with Companies 49(Milmont Park) and 12(Eddystone) traveled down to Delaware County Emergency County Training Center for a flashover class. Crews also had the classroom training the Monday night before at the station. All members did a great job and learned a lot. Good Job Guys!
